Privacy Policy

1. Overview
Luection helps students turn lecture recordings and related study materials into transcripts, organized notes, flashcards, quizzes, and revision tools. This policy explains what information is processed when you use Luection.
2. Information we process
We may process your account email address, authentication data, subscription status, usage information, lecture recordings you choose to upload or record, lecture photos, transcripts, generated notes, flashcards, quiz results, study goals, exam dates, and revision tasks.
3. How lecture audio is handled
Lecture audio is uploaded to private temporary storage so it can be sent for transcription. Luection is designed to remove that temporary audio file after processing finishes. Your generated transcript, notes, and other saved study content may remain in your account until you delete the lecture or your account data is otherwise removed.
4. Service providers
Luection uses third-party services to operate the app. These can include Supabase for authentication, database and storage, Vercel for hosting, AssemblyAI for transcription, OpenAI for AI-assisted note and study-content generation, Stripe for payments and subscriptions, and email delivery providers such as Brevo. Information is shared with these providers only as needed to provide the relevant service.
5. Payments
Payment details are handled by Stripe. Luection does not store your full payment card number. We may store Stripe-related customer and subscription identifiers and subscription status so your plan can be managed correctly.
6. Security and account access
Luection uses authenticated accounts and private data access controls intended to keep one user's saved content separate from another user's content. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should also protect your password and account access.
7. Your choices
You can delete saved lectures from within Luection and manage your subscription through the available billing controls. For privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, or deletion requests that cannot be completed directly in the app, contact us at the address below.
