Terms of Service

1. Using Luection
Luection is a study tool that can transcribe lecture recordings and generate organized notes, flashcards, quizzes, and revision features. You are responsible for using the service lawfully and for the content you upload.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity performed through your account. Please provide accurate information and do not use another person's account without permission.
3. Uploaded content
Only upload or record material that you are allowed to use. You remain responsible for respecting applicable privacy, copyright, university, workplace, and recording-consent rules.
4. AI-generated content
Transcripts, notes, flashcards, quiz questions, summaries, and other generated content may contain mistakes or omissions. They are study aids, not guaranteed records of what was said in a lecture. You should verify important facts, dates, quotations, assignments, and exam information against your course materials.
5. Plans, limits, and subscriptions
Luection may offer Free, Student, Premium, or other plans with different usage limits and features. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe and renew according to the billing terms shown at checkout unless cancelled. If you cancel at the end of a billing period, paid features generally remain available until that period ends.
6. Availability
We aim to keep Luection available, but uninterrupted operation is not guaranteed. Features can be changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued when necessary for maintenance, security, legal, or product reasons.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Luection, attempt to bypass usage limits or security controls, interfere with the service, upload unlawful or malicious material, or use the service to violate another person's rights.
8. Limitation of responsibility
Luection is provided as a study-support service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Luection is not responsible for academic decisions or outcomes based solely on generated content, or for losses caused by relying on inaccurate automated output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the service develops. The effective date at the top of this page will be changed when updated terms are published.
